Q. Pop-ups and pop-unders and Exit Pops etc are a common fact of life on the Internet these days. I want to use QuietSurfer.com but I do NOT want to stop using my existing traffic generating schemes... what can I do?

A. You may need to make a new 'doorway' page for your site so you can meet our conditions without harming your existing chosen traffic generating schemes. Submit your door way page to QuietSurfer.com and ask users to 'Click Here to Enter' or some such scheme.

Q. I've been watching hundreds of sites but I never see MY sites show up in the QuietSurfer! What's the deal?

A. Good observation! That's exactly correct! Your own site will not show in the QuietSurfer. That would only use up a credit showing you a site you already know quite intimately now wouldn't it :). You can view statistics showing the number of hits (times your site has been viewed) at the my account tab.

Further assistance may be had from qsurfer@hotmail.com - but PLEASE read this FAQ page first!

Q. What does 'Distribute Credits to Sites' mean? How does it work?

A. Each time you get a credit it is 'distributed' (spread over, allocated across) all the sites you have listed according to the percentages you have set.

Let's say, for example, you have two sites as follows...

Site-A http://somesite.com/ 70%
and
Site-B http://somesite2.com/ 30%

...and you receive 100 credits total over some period of time.

Site-A will be allocated 70 credits and Site-B will be allocated 30 credits.

The allocations happen on each individual credit. So a single credit would allocate 0.7 credits to Site-A and 0.3 credits to Site-B.

Q. I have credits but why isn't my site being shown?

A. If your site has noise, music, talking, popups, exit pages or popunders it will be placed in "stand by". You must fix your url or change your url if we place it in "stand by" and we'll review it again.

Q. Why is my site not allowed if it has noise on it?

A. Here at QuietSurfer.com we want people to be able to surf in peace. If you want to listen to your own music on your computer, now you can without being  bombarded with music, talking or sounds.
